Our History
Transmountain Primary Care was founded by Dr. Jose A. Marin in 2017. Dr. Marin created Transmountain Primary Care with the intention of providing top-notch care for the people of El Paso. Using decades of knowledge and a focused, dedicated staff, Transmountain Primary Care strives daily to provide the best care for our patients.
Meet Dr. Jose A. Marin
Dr. Jose A. Marin is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and works both as a hospitalist and as an El Paso primary care physician at Transmountain Primary Care, which he founded in 2017. He currently has hospital affiliations at the Hospitals of Providence, Las Palmas Del Sol, and University Medical Center.
He started practicing medicine as a General Surgeon in Mexico in 1999 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Mayaguez Medical Center in Puerto Rico in June 2015.
Dr. Marin is a Clinical Associate Professor at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico, as well as a Community Partner at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He volunteers his time interviewing potential students for Texas Tech’s School of Medicine, as well as providing externship opportunities for medical students at Texas Tech and Burrell.
Meet Mrs. Janice Enriquez, FNP
Mrs. Janice Enriquez, FNP, had nearly a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse before graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2018 with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She has worked extensively in high-energy hospital settings, both in surgical units and intensive care units in Las Palmas and Providence East.
Mrs. Enriquez, FNP, also has teaching experience, having taught courses for LVN nursing candidates at El Paso Community College until 2015. She now volunteers her time providing externship opportunities to nurses in the UTEP Masters’ program looking to get their Family Nurse Practitioner license.
